God’s Grace.
Jeff and Lauren’s whole wedding was centered and focused around God’s grace, how He allowed for these two to find each other, and come together in marriage. And, it was absolutely perfect.
It certainly was a special day. Lauren and I are friends through mutual friends so it was super special to be able to photograph her and Jeff’s wedding. Not only that, but I adore Lauren on a whole other level because we have similar past stories so we definitely relate to each other in many ways. I had a nice little moment with her when I walked in to photograph her getting ready that afternoon. She asked me if I felt super blessed. She was referring to the fact that I had found Steve after going through such bad times in the past. I told her that I do and that God’s Grace is just amazing. She and I share the same faith so she simply smiled and agreed, but I could tell that in her heart she was overwhelmed by God’s beautiful grace. She felt it and knew it be true, especially on her wedding day.
Then the ceremony started. Can I tell you the goosebumps I got when her kids walked her down the aisle and Jeff gave a kiss to Audrey and a fist bump to William before he and Lauren joined hands? Not to long after that, the pastor mentioned that Lauren and Jeff requested that he talk about God’s grace in his sermon during the wedding. He read one of my favorite bible verses, Ephesians 2:8-9. It was just perfect for their story. Gah!
Their wedding was absolutely gorgeous and I loved shooting on such a beautiful base. I love military weddings, but Aberdeen Proving Ground was a hidden gem!
Jeff and Lauren, thank you for letting me part of your day. I am so happy you are finally Mr. and Mrs!
