While some of you celebrated Cinco De Mayo yesterday, our family celebrated something else incredibly special to us. Yesterday marked exactly ONE year since Steve quit his job to help me with my business and to pursue the ministry! That’s right, it’s our one year Quitterversary! Gosh, that feels really good to say. And especially surprising coming from me– the girl that needs financial security in her life. But when I think about everything God has done in our lives in the past year, I am speechless and truly humbled. When Steve first quit we didn’t know, how long this would last or what was in store for us. Yes, we dreamed and planned, but we didn’t know exactly how this would look in the day-to-day and when and how he could start pursuing the ministry. Now, a year later, we are just amazed by how big our God is and how he has perfectly orchestrated this transition for Steve and our family into the ministry. Steve is currently a week away from finishing his first year at The Reformed Theological Seminary in Washington DC and has been working as a Pastoral Intern at our church for a few months now. The time that he has spent both at school and our church has further confirmed his calling into the ministry. I can’t believe I am actually typing this because I would have never imagined this would be our path when we got married almost seven years ago. That is, me being a full time professional photographer and Steve being a Pastoral Intern. But, it’s clear we are right where the Lord wants us to be. And, not so oddly enough, my heart is being called to “make much about Jesus” right there next to my hubby. I don’t know what that looks like yet, but I know I just need to follow Him and he will open those doors and close other ones at the right time. For right now, we are just enjoying this time in our lives and feeling super fortunate that we jumped off that boat one year ago.

Thank you so much to those who have followed us on this journey for a whole year now. We are truly appreciative of the prayers and support we have gotten from each of you. XOXO!

We celebrated last night the same way all families celebrate – with ICECREAM! Here are a few pics at our favorite ice-cream shop.

Soli Deo Gloria,

Stacy Hart

Many have asked for an update with the fundraiser we are doing for Steve’s position at our church. To date we have raised almost half of the $16,000 needed to keep his internship going for the rest of the year at our church. We still need to fundraise the remaining amount so, if you feel led to do so, please read below with how you can help.

1) Pray.  This is the single most important contribution you can make to help our family continue in our calling to ministry and our passion to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. We fully acknowledge that it is only by the grace and provision of God that we have made it this far and have been presented with the chance to further our work for His kingdom through the Pastoral Internship with Stone’s Throw Church.

2) Send a check made out to “Stone’s Throw Church” with “Steve Hart” in the memo line to:

Stone’s Throw Church

P.O. Box 677

Middletown, DE 19709-0677

3) Donate online by doing the following:

  1. Go to this link: https://stonesthrow.onthecity.org/give/start
  2. Fill out the requested information making sure to select “Steve Hart” from the “Select a Fund” drop down menu.

Finally, your contribution is considered tax deductible and should be made with the understanding that the donee organization (Stone’s Throw Church) has complete control and administration over the use of the donated funds.

Thank you all so much for your help in making a dream, a calling, and a leap of faith into a life, a mission, and a reality.
