It’s not too often that I get to shoot a pure lifestyle or “Storytelling” session, but when I do, I fall more in love with them. They give me the freedom to slow down and work with light and composition and to really focus on real life. I almost always walk away from these shoots with a better idea on how to use light or what details need to be captured to tell a story. I know I have so much to learn, but I love what I have been able to create with the few I have done. This family couldn’t have been more perfect for this type of session. They are just so chill and super easy to talk to and I felt like we connected right away. It was as if I was catching up with some long time friends. A few days after we did the shoot, Amber (the momma) sent me a thank-you note expressing the same. I am truly blessed to have met them and to be doing this as my job.
