Last year I fell in love with true lifestyle photography- absolutely no posing. I already loved the everyday life that Kelle Hampton captured of her kids and posted on her blog, but then I discovered DeAnna McCasland, and that is when I fell in love with the idea of offering it for my business. You need to go check out Kelle’s and DeAnna’s work! There are so many everyday stories that need to be told, and I loved the idea of going into it with an artistic eye and taking my time to tell them. No ques, no worry about posing and just capture what happens! I was going to explain further what one of these sessions would be like, but here is what my friend, Jess, said about her session. I loved this description so I thought I would share.
“A photographer came to our home last spring of 2013, and took photos of us living our everyday life. It’s amazing how she was able to capture certain positions, objects, and expressions that are so commonplace that I hardly notice them. And yet, after time passes, I look back and realize, they mean so much to me. Already, the kids look so much older…furniture has been moved around…Charlie has gone on to a new home…and it occurs to me profoundly that these moments, these simple everyday moments, are fleeting. And some day I will want to sit, smiling through my tears, I’m sure, and just soak up the memories. I’m so thankful to have these moments captured.”
