I can’t believe we have been in our new house since November and I have never shared any design pictures. That seems a little crazy to me because I was so excited to start on a blank canvas in our homes and blog each week about the different rooms I have designed, but actually I don’t feel like any of my rooms are are even close to being finished. The main reason is because we haven’t even painted. With buying new construction we get to complete a 365 day inspection which is when we mark things that need to be fixed such as cracks and nail pops from the house settling. For this reason, we decided to wait to paint until after those nail pops were fixed. But with everything Steve and I are doing to change our business to better serve our clients, we both agreed that our studio needed to be updated and more useful to me and to our clients. So this past weekend, we went a little crazy and worked really hard to start turning an empty studio/storage space into an adorable studio. And after seeing paint on the walls, I realize I need more finished rooms in my house to really feel settled because my studio is creeping up to be one of my fave rooms now.
I hope to blog more about home design and DIY crafts on the blog, but I wanted to show you a sneak peek into my new studio. I have so much more to do, but I am excited about the direction it is headed, especially because it matches my whole brand. Here is a sneak! Stay tuned in the future for more on the Hart Home Design…
There are two repurposed pieces of furniture in this pic. The first is an old post office mailer that I found in the basement of our church and the second is our old bar height kitchen table. We cut the legs, sanded, and painted :-)
Warmly,
Stacy
