I once heard the quote, “Love is a verb. Without action, it is merely a word.”
I love this quote, but especially as it applies to marriage. To love each other means to actively choose love each day. Love is not what your spouse does for you, but what you desire to do for your spouse. In the moments you are exhausted and feel disconnected, you choose to love each other. I have only known Mary and Korey for a short time, but I can tell they understand the “action” part of being in love. I can see it in the way they smile at each other. I can see it in the way they look at each other. I can see it in the way they encourage each other. They just get it.
Last week I was able to sneak in an engagement session with them downtown. They are getting married in less than three weeks! I can’t wait :-) They were super easy to work with which I’m sure you can tell by the smiles on their faces. I hope you enjoy some sneaks from their engagement session.
Warmly,
Stacy
