Ya’ll!! I am blessed with some of the most amazing brides and grooms. Ever! I have known Lauren through mutual friends for several years now but we have never been able to sit down for any lengthy conversations to really get to know each other. So, when Lauren first contacted me about shooting their wedding next year we had a good 15 minute conversation about God’s faithfulness and restoration and I got to know her story just a little more. And ummm….anything about Christ’s love is literally my favorite subject, so of course I was immediately connected to her. It was so fun to hear Lauren’s excitement about her engagement and how Jeff is so good with her kids and so it was especially awesome to finally meet Jeff and her kids!!! We had such a perfect day at the Stepping Stone Museum in Havre De Grace, Maryland. The lighting was amazing and the temperature was super comfortable. I probably could have shot there for a few more hours with them because there was just SO much to work with and see. Lauren picked out the perfect outfits too. They are all one sweet patriotic family so I was restraining myself from shouting “USA!USA!USA!” after every shot. We did some family shots first and then switched over to the engagement session as the sun was going down. It was perfect! That is, until the end when I lost my keys!!!! You know that part I said about my brides and grooms being SO amazing!! Well, these guys stuck it out with me until after dark when the cops came to unlock my car so I could get my laptop and luggage and then they drove me out of their way to pass me off to their friends. Ugh! Talk about a fun engagement session, right? So embarrassing! But it doesn’t end there! The next day Lauren came back and searched the grounds of where we had been and FOUND MY KEYS! Really? They are amazing!
Lauren and Jeff, thank you so much for asking me a part of special day next year. I can’t wait!
