This kid

I cherish this smile. I cherish this boy.

You know that feeling when you meet your baby for the first time? You totally know it. Kind of feels like your heart might explode because it is busting at the seams. You almost feel invincible. Somebody just even try to take you off that cloud and see what happens. Ain’t. Gonna. Happen.

This kid.

He makes me feel like I have a dozen clouds stacked up and if you knock me off of cloud nine, I’ll just hop on up to ten with one superhuman leap that is powered by this HEARTMELTING smile.

Oh dear, but does he challenge me so!!!. He has no sleep pattern and turns into Mr. Hyde when not fed at the precise time and stomps back and forth screaming when he doesn’t get his way and rolls and squirms around when I am trying to change a poopy diaper.

But this smile. This kid…

I CHERISH him.

Okay, this post is starting to make me sad.  I can’t believe it’s been a year.
