Kellan Turns Two | A John Deere Themed Party

I’m still pretending that my baby boy did not turn two. I’m also ignoring the fact that he climbed out of his crib yesterday….TWICE (!!!) This was the first (and second) time he has ever done this and it’s just not right!  It’s like he knew he was another year older and he just figured he would rub it in to his poor momma so she would become emotionally unstable. *Sigh* I don’t think I will ever be prepared for my babies to get a year older. And, therefore I will always complain that they are growing up too quickly which helps for the 2.5 seconds that I am complaining and that’s about it. It’s a momma’s right of passage. ;)

This year when I was thinking about his birthday party, it wasn’t hard to come up with the theme. There are two things this kid loves more than anything else right now – tractors and shoes. And throwing a shoe party would just be a bit confusing for all the other two years olds attending the party. So, we stuck with a John Deere themed party.  I called my friend Xio at A Styled Fete and told her what I wanted and she ran with it. As she always does!!! I told her the things I must have (enter popcorn bar) and she put the rest together perfectly. Thank you so much, Xio, for making my boys SECOND (waaaaaah!) birthday party a HUGE success. I will forever cherish these moments.

Whoopsies! We had a tractor room with a sensory table full of rice…and the kids loved it! He was so happy to have everyone sing him Happy Birthday. It was the cutest thing! Look at his cute little lips trying to blow out his candles. And he did it!
